Okay, I’ll be in Seattle next week. I land late wednesday night. My triathlon is in Vancouver on the following monday. I have plans to check out grad schools in Vancouver on friday. Have I arranged my transportation or a place to stay yet? Of course not.
I am so frakked.
Also, I was thinking of heading to Boston for the Green Build Expo, but something about spending the better part of a thousand dollars, 2 days of my precious and limited vacation time, etc to go to a trade show for a bunch of products that probably aren’t all that closely aligned with my interests seemed like perhaps I should pass it up. Though I should still see my bostonian friends sometime in the next year or so. =)
You’re welcome to stay with us.
I think I have a place to stay wednesday, but it seems likely I’ll stay in Seattle thursday and monday night. Any interest in a game of Agricola? =) (Honestly, it’s getting a bit overplayed for me, but if you’d like to try it and haven’t, I can bring it, it is fun.)
I’ve actually been unsuccessfully trying to arrange a game of it up here for the past month, so yes, I’d be interested. I’ve got my own copy, though, so no need to bring it.
One option for travel between Seattle and Vancouver is Amtrak. I’ve never done it, but those who have report good experiences with it. Good luck in the tri. I used to run marathons, but haven’t run one in a few years. I feel so out of the loop when I read about people like you who are into your training. Let’s hope that I get the bug again sometime soon.
I feel pretty erratic about my training, truth be told. =)
Amtrak is probably how I’ll go. I also want to check out SFU and UBC next friday, which means I’ll probably have to rent a car. Bleh!
After some poking at the Amtrak site, it looks like getting back is possible, but the best train to get there Friday and still have time to look is sold out.
I got my hotel for Montreal on Monday, and got there Tuesday. Your frakkage is pretty low-grade still.
true, but the hostels are all booked up. I’ll have to pay a few hundred for a hotel. Bleh.
Surely you can meet some cute young thing each night and have him take you home.
I shall see you for PAX again this year, my friend!
Unless PAX has a vancouver session I failed to notice last year, I don’t think so. 😉 Heading up north to check out SFU and UBC on Friday, and running the triathlon up there on Monday, so…
