A recently burned dvd was inserted into my iBook’s superdrive. It makes weird noises, like it starts to spin up a few times, and does not acknowledge the existence in any other way. Eject button, holding down the trackpad button on reboot, and open firmware eject command did nothing. Will I have to go to a flipping mac store to solve this one?

Tomorrow I leave for DC again. I come back on thursday evening. Then I fly out again saturday afternoon, for dc again, and fly back on wednesday afternoon. Lodging has been arranged.
