race complete!

I ran 10 miles and did not die!

At the five mile mark, the clock said 48:40, at the finish it said 1:32:*mumble*. and her dad kept me from going nuts and losing all my oomph for the first 7 miles. Then I used up my oomph for a dramatic finish.

Also, I have salt trails on my face where the sweat dried. Neat.

  1. What’s most impressive about that to me is that you had a negative split. You ran the second half four minutes faster than the first half. You paced yourself wisely and really reached pushed yourself in the second half. You should be very proud.

  2. Congratulations!
When I started running, I was told it could be addictive. And in my case it was.
Sounds like you might be headed that way too!
Not so bad, of course, there could be far worse addictions….
