I ran 10 miles and did not die!
At the five mile mark, the clock said 48:40, at the finish it said 1:32:*mumble*.
Also, I have salt trails on my face where the sweat dried. Neat.
Getting a word in edgewise

you rock!
i just came in from a ten-mile run around the mall.
FABULOUS!
we should run a race/event together.
-:woof:-
Well, I’m sure I would get a very nice view of you from behind, but I doubt I’d have the view for long enough. 😉
You rock.
I can’t even think about running 10mi.
haha! You just did.
I recommend starting small and building up to it. =) A year ago if you said I’d be running 10 miles at once, I’d have laughed and pointed.
Well done. 🙂 I always get those salt trails, too.
I think I’ve had them biking before. They are kinda neat.
well damn… look at you!
Congrats!

Thank you. =)
I was just aiming to finish.
Yay!! And after moving yesterday, too! Very impressive!
*flexing the legs*
Oww, that hurts.
But, thanks. =)
What’s most impressive about that to me is that you had a negative split. You ran the second half four minutes faster than the first half. You paced yourself wisely and really reached pushed yourself in the second half. You should be very proud.
Thanks. =)
I probably crossed the start line somewhere between 1 and 2 minutes into it, but that’s not enough to reverse the negativity of the split. =)
good job. Half Marathon next? hehe
so long as you’re running ahead of me… =)
i haven’t done a marathon in years. how bout i bike it. LOL
Told you you were fast!
Don is right, 13.1 is next! 😉
salt is good.
well done!
13.1
I second the 13.1 — there’s a good one in September I plan to do again.
Re: 13.1
Well, the chicago Triathlon is 8/24… When in september?
Re: Told you you were fast!
Thanks, so this is the peer pressure, eh? =)
awesome!
i found out my new PT guy is ALSO a front runner!
Are you possibly competing in the Games in 2010?
I hadn’t been planning on it, but where is it?
OUtgames – copenhagen
Gay games – Cologne
Congratulations! Very nicely done. 🙂
Thanks. =)
Congratulations!
When I started running, I was told it could be addictive. And in my case it was.
Sounds like you might be headed that way too!
Not so bad, of course, there could be far worse addictions….
I think I’ll be doing another 10 miler in may, but the next step up that really appeals to me, actually, is a triathlon at the end of august.
