headache

I think this a post exercise headache. I don’t think it’s dehydration based, though I suppose it could be low blood sugar based…

I chugged oj right after had two toaster waffles with real maple syrup and several “stone ground wheat” crackers. Plus some protein powder. This headache had a late in the day onset. Google convinced me I have brain cancer (Not really), or that this may be a migraine (it does exacerbate my photosyensitivity and my aversion to noise. It’s also only on one side of my head. But it is not so debilitating as I thought migraines were. Sinuses?)

So am I being anorexic and thereby giving myself headaches? Just overdoing it with the running? Facing imminent death? Do I have a migraine problem? Sinus troubles? Or maybe it’s just stress…

  1. i used to have low blood sugar headaches and sluggishness that wouldn’t get cured by eating sugar — that actually would make it worse, because the intake of sugar would trigger my pancreas to produce more insulin so even if my overall blood sugar was in normal range, i felt like i had low blood sugar because my insulin levels were too high. during these times, the only thing that really worked was to stop eating, drink a big glass of water with two ibuprofen, and a short nap (or a night’s sleep). then protein heavy dishes after.

  2. Naw. My former trainer said that people were supposed to have a small amount of carbs before any cardiovascular/weight training. My guess is that you overexercised and got dehydrated.

  3. I’m tending towards migraine. And not all migraines have to be huge debilitating ordeals. Many are fairly mild and merely annoyances. The fact that it’s unilateral is a significant flag.

But it could be the cancer. >:)

  4. how was the workout?

i find the strenuous workout can bring on a headache, or even overheating for sure.

otherwise u should be fine, you’re not totally NOT eating, so… yeah.

    🙂
