Decisions, decisions…

Trying to decide what courses to take.

Currently it’s

Introduction to Policy Analysis 1.5 credits
Introduction to Public Management 3 credits
Public Affairs Economics I 3 credits
Empirical Analysis 3 credits
Developing your public service career 1 credit
Conflict Management Proseminar 1 credit
Stakeholder Identification 1.5 credit

Total 14 credits, out of 15 max for no additional charge

Sadly, there is no phys ed course I want to take that fits into my tue/thu mornings. I wanted something to wake me up before class, but Public Management & Leadership starts at 9:45am. And the self defense class ends at 9:55am, on the other side of the mississippi. Leaving advanced weightlifting. Ugh.

Maybe next semester I’ll be able to arrange my schedule for those gymnastics, dance, or wall-climbing classes. And, I’ll always have the gym…

work

today I made some progress on the minutes between browsing ffxi websites. And then at Brian’s, I got some of the reading I’ve been slacking on done. While he played ffxi. Not that I ffxi have a ffxi fixation or ffxi anything. =)

brought to you by corn

Tofutti cuties should be called corn cuties. They have corn sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, corn flour, corn sugar, and corn sweetners, many of those ingredients being more prominent than the tofu and soy protein.

Tonight was organic lemonaid, a clif bar, a tofutti cutie, pasta w/ canned sauce, baked ear of corn, a bit of rice with the bragg’s liquid aminos (read: overpriced low salt soy sauce), and a falafel sandwich. I was planning on doing salad too, but my stomach told me enough was enough. Maybe tomorrow evening.

Yay, anti-atkins. =)

FFXI update

Mesharr has taken the ferry from Mhaura to Selbina. She and Loren met face to face for the first time ever last night. She also went to San D’oria, and picked up the Mea and Hol telepoint crystals, as well as basic guild memberships in woodworking, smithing, and leatherwork. Not sure if this is actually necessary to advance the relevant skills, but I read somewhere online that it was, so it must be true 😉 She finished her level up to 15 solo, and she was on her way to Bastok, when she ran across a low level Quadav right outside the border to Gustaberg(?). Figuring she could take it easy, I had her start pounding on it. I noticed the goblins that joined in the party just before she killed the quadav, half a second before she was killed herself and leveled back down. So, now she’s awaiting my special attention in Selbina again. Maybe I’ll just have her beeline for Bastok and the final guild memberships before resuming her quest for levels. =)

I’m kinda enjoying it. Largely for the feel of the imaginary environment. CoH seems simpler from an intellectual perspective (no real economy), but it does seem pretty cool from the setting perspective, and the powers are neat too. (Jim showed it to me yesterday, but that’s another story.)
