So, girl scout cookies, like most cookies, generally involve milk and eggs.
Except for tagalongs, which were always my favorite gs cookie. =)
I got 8 boxes. At about 15 cookies per box, that’s 120 tagalongs. Two a week for a year (yeah, right, sure, or 60 a week for two weeks, or one a second for two minutes =)
Now they do involve hydrogenated fat and chocolate, but I’m willing to indulge myself. =)
Maybe they’ll use real girl scouts next year.
only when they start using real boy scouts in the popcorn sale 🙂
Scouts
Why don’t Boy Scouts sell anything? Then again, we’d have to boycott them if they did 😐
Re: Scouts
As a former scout, we did do such things, though the big one I recall is the popcorn (carmel, cheese powdered, and faux butter), that Susan mentioned =)
If they used real girlscouts, itd be MOST difficult to call them vegan… Of course, you could do like the British vegans that was talking about and just DECLARE girl scouts to be vegetables…
Id think that the cookies might be a little salty though, or worse gristly… Nothing is quite as nasty as a gristly cookie…
stuffed
eee.
somehow, Minnesota has managed to segue almost directly from Girl Scout Cookie season into an infatuation with the newly-arrived Krispy Kreme. there were probably just a couple of weeks where Easter Candy was the junk du jour.
it’s a good thing i’m a little obsessive about swimming.
Re: stuffed
There were some guys selling krispy kreme’s outside of doherty hall (one of the academic buildings on campus) this afternoon. I was amused.
I need to find something else athletic to do while my bike is out of comission. Probably going to stick with the gym machines, but that’s boring.
Re: stuffed
What happened to the martial arts?
Re: stuffed
The martial arts cost $95 for unlimited classage for your first month. I intend to make the most of that month, so I’m waiting until the graduations (and not-quite graduations) and what not are done before I start in with that =) So, end of may, beginning of June.
Status report
1 day later, 1 box less. Maybe I should include a waistline measurement in future status reports 😉
