On thursday evening, a friend of mine took me out to chinese for dinner. Afterwards, I ate both fortune cookies, and here were my fortunes:
first, “Don’t let unexpected situations ‘throw’ you.”
second, “You are soon going to change your present line of work.”
Freaky, no? =)
You’re only supposed to eat one fortune cookie. Which one was the first one?

What amused me is how well they both applied =)
Funny how I have several “fortunes” I keep in my wallet (I wish they were real fortunes as opposed to little strips of white paper with small printing on them) — one of them (not sure about it being a fortune), says “You have a deep appreciation of the a rts and music.” Funny how I had this in the wallet long before I even thought of auditioning for the SF Conservatory of Music (for grad school), much less making the auditions, graduating, and doing some of the work I now do.
The ironic twist is that another “fortune” in the wall et says “Your love life will be happy and harmonious.” What???? What love life???
