Actually made it in to adecco like 2-5 minutes late, but they didn’t comment. I was all white shirt & tie & black pants & shaved & shit. They claimed to be muy impressed by my access, word, and excel skills (despite my complete inability to do anything even vaguely resembling a function in excel, and my total lack of a correct answer in the ‘advanced’ section for access.)
Came back home, checked mail, then immediately to Dolores Park Cafe (btw, yum) for date with brit guy. Brit guy is cool. And fairly cute. I was mildly embarrassed to have difficulty understanding him through the accent and background noise at times. He’s (recently) trained in shiatsu. Offered free session in return for referals. (note for the prurient, erotic massage and accu-p*ure are not terribly compatible). Also talked about hitting Herbivore sometime. We eventually adjourned to skyline and tanline watching from the muddy top of dolores park.
I arrived late to my first volunteer session at California Peace Action, where I learned that I despise data entry, in that zone-out sort of way. Back home. Much slack. Simpsons. WWE Smackdown. (oy) Laundry for the past 1.5-2.5 weeks. back home.
Bleh. That’s my day in a nutshell.
Oh, and I’ve memorized the major north/south streets that intersect market between the eastern end and castro. Next are the soma streets, then the major east/west streets between duboce and marina. This would make me a better bike messenger to my mind, and hopefully to the minds of the potential employers as well.
