Oh yeah, finally got around to meeting for more than 10 seconds last night. Originally my goal was to meet him at Lucky Creation in china town, and have dinner there. Well the first part of that goal happened. The dinner part didn’t so much, since they’re closed on wednesdays. Erk.

So, we walked back to market, took muni to the church station, and walked down market until we hit ristorante capri. The waiter called me high maintainence (not that it’s not true). Walked around for a bit, then I went home. I was in a strange & funky mood because of being told to piss off earlier that day, but Jim’s company improved the day.

Must rub fuzzy head.

  1. high maintenance?

heh. at least it wasn’t sacramento where trying to even consider a place for you to eat took the better part of an hour and at least two calls to friends. . . .

fortunately we didn’t have to walk anywhere. it was like 38 degrees that day. . . although driving in Joey the Jetta sans AC is almost as bad as walking without the addition stress of moving oneself. 😉

at least you find somewhere to eat. 😉

  2. Mmm, love that San Francisco serverperson attitude. High-maintenance or not, you’re the customer and they shoud snap out of their actorwaitermodel reverie and realize that they are in a service and hospitality industry.

and I were part of an informal subversive-dining group that used to regularly terrorize the über-trendy restaurants of our day. It was called the Diners From Hell and our brief but terrible reign produced memorable experiences whose anecdotes are legion. If actorwaitermodelserverperson thought you were high-maintenance, he should consider himself lucky not to have been visited by the DfH!

Between you being high maintenance and my being offered discounts if I took of my shirt, the waiter definitely made it an interesting and fun dining experience. 😉 Rub fuzzy head anytime. I’m like a deer in headlights that way. Can’t move when people rub me. Glad it brightened up your day a bit.
