Well, this weekend has been good. I’ve hung out with
I’ll be grabbing lunch with one of the assistant directors at the gao downtown. I expect more yays from company and less yays from food. I may also go to two-stepping lessons tonight. I’m sad to be in a town without a smoking ban, but come 2008, it’ll be better.
I’ve managed to avoid any significant pangs of post-grad-school panic. I can feel them scratching at the door from time to time, but I’m keeping them in check. My travel plans are starting to come together and make sense.
I’m having dangerous thoughts about getting back onto the MMORPG bandwagon, now that school is over. FFXI makes no sense because I could only spend a couple days on that, since I can only run it on my desktop. WoW is the obvious choice since it’s already installed on my laptop. But I’m wondering if I really want to have that kind of a distraction. Hmmmm.
Adios, amigos.
Clearly you should join us in playing Travian.
It actually does look kinda interesting. But I’m amused that you go for the “low tech” graphics/sound angle. =)
hey! drop me a line sometime & we can meet up.
I got to meet phoenix76xxx. You should definitely get to know them if you get the chance.
Huh. That’s funny. I know Fred. Haven’t heard from him in ages.
Matt??
OMG!
HOW ARE YOU!?!?!?!
Heh, hi Fred! 🙂
It’s really strange that your name popped up today on this journal. I was listening to WJR on Saturday and they were doing an interview with Katie from Green Brain Comics. Obviously about Free Comic Day. So naturally, I thought about you and talked about you.
I’ve been good, I suppose. A lot has happened in the past several years! Too much to write about here… but I will say in that time, I went to a Tori concert at Radio City Music Hall. 🙂
How’s things with you?
You should give me your e-mail address, i feel bad that we have hi-jacked Stephen’s LJ.
Let’s Catch up.
Enh, no worries. =)
I’ve got a couple of email addresses, but I check this one most throughout the day: denverguy81 (at) yahoo (dot) com. … I really should change the whole Denver thing considering I don’t live there anymore. 🙂
I am so jealous – all of them are awesome guys I’d LOVE to meet. *grumP*
Glad you had fun… I GUESS. 😛
Once I have a place, you can crash with me and meet them. Does that help? =)
Yes. Yes it does!
I always love it when cute guys sleep on my couch and clutter my living room. 🙂
Glad you had a good weekend! I’ve never been to Chicago (except the airport for a layover) but having read “Devil in the White City” I wanna book a trip sometime. (Or if I can find some training seminar or conference I can get the boss to pay for it…lol)
Have a good Monday…
If I meet any cute mooches, I’ll pass along your offer. 😉
as soon as I get a place, I’ll be happy to let you sleep on my couch and clutter my living room. 😉 Whether you’ll be able to distinguish your clutter from my clutter may be a challenge.
MMORPG
If you choose City of Heroes, let me know.
I’d love to team with ya!
Re: MMORPG
I’ll certainly let you know if I do. =)
But, uh, I wouldn’t hold my breath. =)
If you decide to go with WoW, make a character on the Hyjal server. 😀
Did they ever correct the “only one auctionhouse per team, please lag us to hell and back” problem? =)
Yeah. There are Auction Houses in all of the cities now.
That should help immensely. I never understood why they did things that way. It seemed so obviously dumb.
The lag in Ironforge isn’t nearly as bad anymore, to say the least. Now it seems a bit more like Lower Jeuno used to, with the only “lag” being from a few models loading up, rather than both server lag and extreme loading lag (which always seemed to send me on a 2 minute trip into the lava pit-trap.)
Oh yeah… go with Everquest 2. It’s a great MMORPG. Mike and I will twink you. 🙂
Much appreciate the invitation. =)
WoW’s advantage over ffxi is that it runs on macs, which, apparently eq2 doesn’t. =/
But… but… a six year old could play WoW. You deserve something that matches your intelligence. 🙂
Soooo… you could always download that new Bootcamp emulator I’ve been hearing about and install Windows on your Mac. Then you’ll be able to play EQ2. 😀
Flattering my intelligence, score one for Matt. =)
Clearly your brilliance requires a careful investigation of ffxi. No other mmorpg matches its complexity. You owe it to yourself. 😉
