  1. To be sure, a focus on one instance would be irrational. But I’m not simply talking about the proclivities of Armin Miewes, I’m talking about the 340+ responses he received for his ad seeking a man harboring an interest in being butchered. Do you seriously think a heterosexual man would hear from that many women were he to place a similar personal ad?

False analogy. Instead imagine that some kinky woman placed an ad for heterosexual men to be butchered.

  2. I find the debate over the moral value of homosexuality to always be a fruitless debate. Morals, where no one is harmed and everything is consensual, are a matter of personal judgement. I know people for whom a homosexual act would be gravely wrong. But I personally know that denying who I am is far more wrong than any act of sexuality I have participated in. To compare expressions of sexuality to cannibalism demonstrates how demonized some people have made sex in general.

If it were rape or pedophilia, I might see the connection… even where the cannibalism is considered consensual, it still harms someone (as do rape and pedophilia). How can someone with such opinions enjoy their own sex life, no matter how “normal?”
