Describing your ideal match in the third person naturally leaves the reader thinking in the third person. “He’s so dreamy.” Describing in the second person, ie “You’re so dreamy,” has a totally different feel to it, is not my style, and yet, I’m curious. *shrug*
Yup.
I think you’re right, and I think the reason, at least in part, is that it’s an ideal. Part of the reason it’s so attractive is because it’s literally unobtainable and nonexistent.
