Today I chatted with homos, hit the gym, worked a long day, caught up on my lj subscriptions, went to green drinks (chicago’s plan for climate change was the topic) and have been away from home for 14 hours. Probably be home in about 15 min…

Heh, what a life I lead.

I want a massage and a nap.

My iBook is grey screening (mac equivalent of the blue screen) fairly shortly after I start WoW or play a video in firefox. I also got a crash with a misaligned stack message. I’m thinking it may be a RAM problem. I’m also considering replacing the whole damn thing. But I don’t really want to do that until I’m debt free. Bleh. As I noticed Saturday when shopping with , even low end laptops these days have what it takes to run WoW. I could abandon OS X for Windows. Enh, we shall see.

It was good to rediscover that I can cook and not poison anyone in the process. Must do that more often. Also a pleasure to spend the evening with Josh, James, Nathaniel, Richard and Nick.

It was great having around. Getting to do stuff he doesn’t often get to do, exploring new restaurants, enjoying old ones. Checking out comic book shops, and thrift stores. Chatting with Philippe, , , and . We also saw Stardust.

I hope it’s not another 5 years before I see him, even if we aren’t weekend boyfriends next time.

Stardust is a great movie. I’d say it’s based on the book, but it’s not a retelling of the book. It’s a love story, and an action movie. A bit akin to the princess bride, but more grown up in a variety of ways. It’s fast paced but they still get time for character development in. I recommend watching the movie before reading the book, but I recommend doing both in whatever order occurs to one.

I’ll be getting in to Seattle late wed night (8/23), working in the seattle field office for thu & mon. And nerding it up hardcore fri-sun. This should give me a reasonable micro-sample of what it would be like to live there and also fun. Mustn’t forget fun.

The ever-awesome will be putting me up (and/or putting up with me) walking distance from the gao office and the convention center. I hope to see other Seattlites while there.

Good times

Preparing for the dinner party tomorrow night, took a good chunk out of tonight, but hopefully, this will help things happen on time tomorrow.

Yay for sleep.

$10 / month, just to keep the gas turned on, regardless of how much I use. (in this case, I used too little for them to measure). Hmmmm. Is that the way it works? I should totally get an electric stove.
