The latest lj trend
Well, maybe not the latest, but whatever. The “browse back a year ago” and select a post. I read several. At first, I thought picking a particular month so arbitrarily would be kinda lame. I think differently now.
Upcoming birthday
I should probably plan my birthday party, oh, more than a week in advance, if I want anyone to show. =) “Unfortunately”, I will be spending my birthday itself in the air on the way back to pittsburgh, on the same flight with Tom, and possibly Simon, and the weekend will be consumed by spring carnival (ie, visiting friends) and gaming and probably seeing my family. Need to remember to get travel info to my parents so they can arrange to be in the right place at the right time.
So, should I do the party the weekend before (april 10th) or the weekend after (april 23rd)? Decisions, decisions…
Today
I went swimming. My shoulder is fine, though my wrist unhappiness is twingy (not preventative) when swimming. May sign up with strawberry canyon masters. 6 months of no swimming has left me very out of shape for it. 1000 yards was kinda tough.
I hit the farmer’s market. Chatted with a fellow vegan who, it turns out, is a high school sophomore.

Holy shit, I have no life. I’m completely caught up on livejournal, and mostly caught up on my email. After a week of sleep dep. I so crazy.
Back from ABQ
Made it back, none the worse for the wear. 42 billable hours in 4 days. We recorded the data we need (I hope). There was much snow. It was not wild, it was not fun, but much good will come of it. Now to catch up on email and livejournal… =)
Where I see my life going…
Depends entirely on where I get into grad school. But my expectation is something of the following form:
either a) get into grad school. move out from here at the end of the lease/end of the contract. Go to a different part of the country, and settle into the area.
or b) find an appealing geek-organizer job (as per moveon’s job fair), and do that for a few years as a way to get politically involved while still using my geek foo.
Either way, I don’t know what the chances are that I will be in the bay area in August. I wish I knew where I am going.

Arcana Unearthed Character Idea
So, I’m going to be playing some sort of rpg over carnival with friends. It’s looking like Arcana Unearthed may be a possibility, about which I’d be pretty jazzed. It has some neat ideas. And I keep tossing around character concepts. So I’ll get the big one out of my head, so I can let it go.
