Well, I wanted to do it, but I needed an academic reference. Can’t just pull one of those out of my ass. History can’t be faked on the fly. At least, not by me. It’s cool. If it was a year of teaching now v a year of policy work later, I think I’m quite comfortable with the trade off. Can’t have everything all the time.

It’s 2 years of teaching, and if you weren’t prepared to stay for both years, it’s better that you didn’t do it.

Oh, I’m as prepared as one can be, apriori, to stay two years. I realize in retrospect that my phrasing didn’t make it look that way, but so it goes.
