Texas over christmas?

Hmmm, Austin, TX is looking like a possible holiday destination. Might I rely on one or more of my wonderful lj-subscriber type folks in that area to put me up while out there? Happy vibes into the universe. I think I’m going to go pay for insurance and get a passport. Must also bust ass on berkeley application this week. Including writing letter of recomendation from Ro. Wheeeee.

  1. Rehana and I can put you up – we’ve got a guest room and an air mattress. However, we do live in a suburban style housing pod, pool at the center, one way out for the car.

    1. Distract me with puerto rico, tichu, the internet, and/or the like and odds are good I won’t even notice 😉

Not sure it’s going to happen, but I’d be grateful. If it happens, I’m planning on being out in the area 18th-28th or something like that. I certainly don’t expect any one host to put me up for the entire duration, but, I’ll work on more detailed plans after I figure out whether or not it’s happening. =)

        1. Sucko. My final is on the 17th. sounds like he’s having a party I’d like to attend on the 19th, And, couch surfing for longer than 10 days is beyond what I can justify to myself. =)

  2. I could probably put you up for a couple days. My brother will likely be spending Christmas day with me, perhaps one night, and I’ll be going to Dallas for a NYE party (maybe earlier for my birthday on the 28th), but a few days between the 18th and the 24th should be workable. I live in far north Austin, on an infrequent bus route, but it could be worse—I could be in a “suburban style housing pod, pool at the center, one way out for the car, with occasional big box/huge parking lot commercial entities.” The big-box development is only a couple miles away, but I live on a moderately busy thoroughfare. If you don’t think you’d feel constrained by lack of car, money and television (I do have DVD’s, tho), then talk to me. 🙂

Of course, this is all assuming I don’t head to the coast to spend the holiday with Rett and his family. It could happen, though I don’t think it will.

      1. new years in austin

enjoy the holidays in austin-town. i lived in tx for 20 years but never went to austin for new years. looks like it might change this year.

Cool, hope you have fun out there. Me, I’ll be back here, in the big empty house. Or, more likely, hanging out with friends at some party they’re throwing. =)
