I Am A: Chaotic Good GnomeBard Mage
Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.
Race:
Gnomes are also short, like dwarves, but much skinnier. They have no beards, and are very inclined towards technology, although they have been known to dabble in magic, too. They tend to be fun-loving and fond of jokes and humor. Some gnomes live underground, and some live in cities and villages. They are very tolerant of other races, and are generally well-liked, though occasionally considered frivolous.
Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
Secondary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.
Deity:
Finder Wyvernspur is the Chaotic Neutral god of the cycle of life and the transformation of art, although he leans heavily towards Good. He is also known as the Nameless Bard. Followers of Finder believe that everything must change in order to grow and thrive. Their preferred weapon is the bastard sword.

Alignment: Me, chaotic good? I don’t know what you’re talking about, duh.
Race: Gnome, with elven tendencies. I like that. Living underground would seem kind of confining to me, but I could easily see me getting into spelunking. More to the point, the magic, tech, and general life attitude all fit. I’m just sad they changed them from +int/-wis to +con/-str.
Class: No, no, no, no. Primary class is not bard. Nor is it Ranger or Thief. It’s Scout, damn your eyes. See Earthdawn(tm), if confused. During the day, I will go off alone, seeing things without being seen, finding the way, assessing hazards, that kind of thing. When the evening comes, I’ll make my way back to camp and let people know what’s going on. That’s my style. Secondary Mage? Or maybe bard. Brainy type that I am, and my fondness for reading could go either way, given my social tendencies, and my penchant for story-telling. But there’s something about the Priest/Monk idea. Not so much the worshiping a deity aspect of it, but the principled living, the supportive/healing role, the education, and the guiding others bit.
Deity: Well, not so much the religious sort, but he doesn’t sound like such a bad guy.
Ha, do you play D&D? (Or did you before?)
Oh my yes. Fear my several hundred dollar gaming book collection. Pity that it’s back in pittsburgh. =)
Heheh.. I still play, although infrequently (looking around embarrassedly).

The phrase “neutral good elf bard mage” is quite a dissonant mouthful.
Worthy of being valid syntax in a bad programming language

I’m willing to embrace the idea that I’m an elven bard/ranger, but I will deny to my death that I’m lawful-good. Damnit.
Hooey!
I might, might, allow that I could be considered to be lawful good. I’ll buy the lawful part, and I con’t feel like arguing the good part. I don’t see the gnome bit at _all_. But since I had a three way tie for second among human, half-elf, and elf, I vote half-elf and the survey’s weird vote splitting is to blame. Even though I apparently type strongly for ranger, I’m certain that’s not it either. The second place tie for mage and cleric seems more appropriate.
I’ve also decided that I’m officially bitter that I’m always the DM. I’m not sure I could get a second night of the week to play, nor that I could get my players to switch off and run things, but I miss playing, dammit.
Re: Hooey!
I’d offer to let you play in my campaign, but the commute would be a bitch.
You could always look for an RPGA campaign, I hear Living City is starting a new campaign in the new year…
