Any suggestions?

Minority Report was one of those movies that I kind of really liked and kind of really hated, you know? Like the idea of the movie was cool, and a lot of parts of the movie were cool, but there were loopholes in the plot that I just couldn’t get over. Just like the new Planet of the Apes. Where’d the horses come from, eh? Anyway, it’s pretty good. And Agnes (I think her name is Agnes?) is pretty hot, for a pre-cog.
1. minority report: interesting movie, funky concept, cool overall
2. bowling for columbine: n/a (haven’t the foggiest)
3. SPIRITED AWAY!!!: urm.. coooooooooooool flick, high rex and all
i believe mr andrew was willing to see Spirited Away again.. i think i would too…
Minority report was entertaining, but a strange flick.
Random grabs of Tom Cruise’s ass, etc. got a bit strange after
the 8th or so random stranger.
The plot causality totally breaks down upon later reflection.
A bit pat, all in all.
I think it was pretty succesful as a dark future though, more disturbing overall than anything else I’ve seen out of hollywood mainstream for a a while.
Spirited Away:
Loved it twice. I think the dub was marginally better, but found reading around the heads frustrating in the theatre. It’s not really worth going out of your way for.
Bowling for Columbine:
I’m fascinated by the american love of the firearm. It scares and perplexes me. I’d love to see it.
Glancing through the listings, nothing else catches my eye.

heh… where’d one see a nice large screen viewing of the original japanese here in the Bay Area though? =j
riight.. but i believe the kabuki is no longer playing the original, no?
ok.. my line of reply was going to be more than likely viewed as argumentative, so.. i’ll stop. =) suffice it to say that i’d recommend the movie, even if it’s still got that english-asian language mouth/lag discrepancy.. *shrug* grown up with it all my life watching all y’all who cain’t unnerstan’ what all’s they’s sayin’ if’nz t’ain’t in inglish.. 😉

The Kabuki had it in the original Japanese, I think it’s also
at one of the berkeley theatres (i forget which.. nausicaa.net)
I think the digital projection was nice :-), at least, I noticed
a difference.
