I can go back a week in livejournal in about 200 posts. So it goes. =)

I hate facebook. I have an account, because there are people I know who either don’t have livejournal or who use facebook more than lj. But facebook is really damn annoying.
We all need to move where the action is, I guess. But LJ has been as active as ever for me: FB and Twitter add to the load, but I guess I just have a social group that hasn’t moved on yet. This is fine with me, though as I prefer the long-form expression afforded here… If only I had time myself to update more…
Facebook has killed many things, including social etiquette. I can’t tell you how often I catch my friends updating or checking FB on their phones while we’re at dinner or out at a bar or in some other social setting. I’ve started to threaten them with Grievous Bodily Harm if they Facebook (notice the use as a verb now) in my presence. Eventually they may well decide that they prefer FB over my company…so be it.

Ya it used to take several screens to just go back a day on LJ. Now its no-where that much. FB on the other hand.
Still FB has many things to learn from LJ.
With a lot of the same people on facebook and lj, it’s easier and you get more immeadiate interaction for one line comments and stuff.
but i get annoyed with twitter users who send their stuff to facebook and lj. that’s just redundant.

FB is my more public side; LJ is my more private side. I like having a place for both, but I still overall prefer LJ.
I miss the liveliness and depth of LiveJournal. Of course, I’m not helping much.
Facebook has RSS feeds though. I’ve never figured out how to set one up in lj.
