It would be more civic to just wear the Speedos.

There are a few cool men’s clothing boutiques in Hayes Valley, but they’re rather pricey. The stores in the Castro have trunks (in addition to the more… revealing… suits), or you could just hop downtown and try out a few places in the Westfield Centre or H&M or something, if you just need something causal and not expensive.
I think I’d actually like to get some square cuts. My speedos are actually rather ancient.
just grab totally normal board shorts from a place like old navy at 4th and market.
Timing being what it is, I’ll probably just go with some athletic shorts I brought with me. Old navy opens at the same time people are meeting for the rafting.
