Ideas for other things I should do also appreciated.
I found Wicked just not worth it, but obviously, YMMV. I think in large part it was because it was the first major show where I left feeling that I just didn’t get my money’s worth out of the show, but that was a (worse than?) full price Broadway ticket. I’d say it was worth about $50 to me, tops.
I totally love Wicked, but I would recommend doing the ticket lottery. Two hours before each show, they do a lottery for $20 (or was it $25?) tickets for front row seats. It’s pretty faboo, even if you do peek into the wings a bit.
The Nature Museum is also nice. They have one amazing room I could sit in for hours, the butterfly garden. Hundreds/thousands of amazingly colored butterflies flittering everywhere. Not for the arthrophobic, though.
