My Christmas Eve Fortune

So, on Christmas Eve, Mike, and I went out to Long Life Vegihouse. In addition to the psycho homeless guy who’d made death threats to angie at her place of work making an appearance and us sicking the cops on him, I got a fortune cookie.

The fortune contained therein said “Your goal will be met in two months.”

I think this means I have to put much effort into the bay area job hunt over the next 57 days or so. I mean, what else could it possibly mean? =)

  1. For the longest time I have been eager to finish grad school and search for a job in the Bay Area. However, having visited there numerous times over the past 6 months, it is starting not to seem worth all the effort. It seems idiotically expensive and not at all as homey as other cities (namely Atlanta or San Diego).

I guess I’m just wondering if its appeal is also diminishing to other folks around my age, especially those working in the environmental field, who want to enjoy living in a progressive, culturally diverse city while at the same time afford a decent place to live.

  2. Everyone I know or have known seems to be migrating toward the bay area! It is pretty sweet here though. In an earlier post you said you’re back in the bay — when were you here originally?
