  1. Awesome

I’m glad to hear that your dad is Out of Iraq!!!

My brother was there for 9 months, and it was hard on my mom and the rest of us…and I completely feel for anyone that still has someone over there. it’s so hard to watch the news these days. in any event, I wanted to say that I’m happy for you and your pop.

    have a great day!

  2. That’s good to hear. It’s a relief when the folks I know over there get anywhere less dangerous, heh. I’m glad your dad’s homeward bound.

    1. I’m almost as shocked as you. What I find nearly as shocking is that I can’t quickly find a post where I mentioned his presence over there.

I could swear I left a comment in your blog asking if you were in Balad, and if you wanted to meet my dad while he was out there, many months ago. Maybe I’m psycho. There is the very slim possibility I’m confusing you with , but you are two very different puppies.

He’s only been there since november. National guard doc. Typically a three month rotation, but he’s done one of those before (taking care of a special guest in camp victory) and he didn’t want to do it again, so he did a 6 month spin. This time he did 3 months in balad, followed by 3 months somewhere in the green zone.

      1. Given the times, locations and possible “Special Guest” identity, there is a really good chance that he and I crossed paths incidentally a time or two.

  3. Excellent!

When my dad helped me move in up here in Minneapolis over the weekend, I asked him whether your dad was home yet, and he said he was amazed at how long he’d been over there.

Glad he’s safe and back on the way to Zanesville.

    1. What are you doing in Minneapolis? And which part are you living in?

I suppose if there’s a time to live there, then summer is it. Hope you can sleep through sunlight. 😉
