3 reviews: change of location, spider man 3, peapod

Moving to Lincoln Park was perfect. Awesome location. It lets me have a social life on weekday evenings, without regretting it in the morning (too much). And the place is a great size for having people over. Yay for the new place.

Spider man 3 was awful, but the company was great. First words out of my mouth as the credits began rolling: “Well, thank god that’s over.” It wasn’t really that bad, but it was fun to say. Nick, Rick, Jo(h?)n, and I sat around until the lights came up ripping the movie to shreds, and all the way back to the L, waiting for the L, and half the ride home. Until we drove Rick away with our excessive dorking out. Still, good times.

When I got home, my peapod food had arrived. And it was in the house, meaning my roommate must have let them in. Thank you, roommate. The produce is very fresh (fresher than I can get at a grocery store). The selection is modest. The convenience is top notch. The cost is also high. But not outrageously so. I think I overbought. I’ll have to have people over for dinner next week or something.

Yay new place.

  1. ~ Yay new place!

~ I’ve heard nothing but crap about SM3. But are there any good shots of Toby?? (I know, I’m a letch, but I would so kidnap that boy and do unspeakable things to his person were I given the chance…)

~ Anybody who has “parsnip” as part of their LJ name I want to know about: that’s one of those obscure vegetables we ate as kids that nobody’s heard of. (I never particularly liked them, either, but I should try them now as my taste has changed.)

~ Peapod was just getting started when I left Houston. I remember looking at the business plan and wondering how the heck they made it work, even *with* the higher prices: I would have thought the cost would have had to be prohibitive to make it profitable for them. Apparently not!(?)

~ So the roommate is going well?

    ~ Yay new place!!!
    🙂

    1. I’m not a fan of parsnips, or dekkos, but I am a fan of . $10 delivery fee helps Peapod, I’m sure. Roommate is working out just fine.

You get better shots of toby in the first two. =)

      1. A dekko?? Ques es un dekko?
(And how do I make an upside-down question mark in HTML???)

Well HELL — there goes the one remaining reason to bother seeing it. 🙁

  2. Oh, on the CSA: Laura and I were talking about this, and we came to this conclusion:

Our CSA produce is too much for one person if the one person is a meat eater. It might be too much for one female vegetarian for a week, but is probably not too much for a male vegetarian who eats leftovers, and cooks down vegetables.

Also: they gave us fava beans again this week. I’ve discovered that I love fava beans. Now I just need to find a good Chianti and…
