Where do I find out what new PC/Mac games are coming out? From people who aren’t trying to sell them to me regardless of their quality, that is.
Getting a word in edgewise

I tend to have insider information (via), but http://www.gamespot .com is also a good place. I find their reviews pretty spot on.
Gaygamer.net has a pretty good collection of upcoming console and PC games along with other gaming news from a queer perspective, I stuck them in my RSS aggregator and have heard of several interesting games through them.
I tend to check IGN’s release dates page for the various systems. For PC’s, that’s http://pc.ign.com/index/release.html
Did you just say “Mac Games?” What are those?
I second the gamespot.com recommendation. They do tend to have advertising agreements with one game seller (ebgames.com) but this does not seem to otherwise effect gamespot’s content.
I tend to play games on the PS2 rather than the PC, and use Metacritic to find good ones. They combine review scores from various publications and also publish links to the individual reviews, so that you can see some of the reasoning behind the scores. They cover PC games as well, but do not seem to cover the Mac.

I like joystiq.com, but it’s not strictly game reviews, so depending on what you’re looking for gamespot may be a lot better.
penny arcade, gucomics, and a couple of friends.
Problem: all major review sites are funded by advertisements, and thus are paid to sell you things regardless of quality. Thankfully their need to keep an audience provides some incentive to give a nod to quality, if small.
Possible responses: Find small independent review sites which focus on areas of gaming you might be interested in. In the old days I used to read gamepen, I don’t know if they are still around. Random searches slowly turns up things like “four fat chicks” who represent a class of gaming review site which has inconsistent quality of reviews, extremely spotty coverage, but high honesty and good insight into aspects of games that may or may not appeal.
If you need broader coverage combined with honesty, a discussion medium of intelligent commenters is your best bet. Unfortunately gaming discussion often descends into fanboyism and unintelligent flamewars. In the past, I got a lot of milage out of the discussion forums on gamecritics.com, although they are decidedly console based, and I think have gone too far into decline to be great anymore. Maybe hunt around for gameing sites which have an explicit “intelligent commentary expected” attitude?
Maybe you knew all this already, so sorry if this post is useless. If you do find anything good, I’d be interested to know about it!
http://www.quartertothree.com Developers and gaming press, plus random hangers on. Detailed and esoteric tastes, as well as mainstream coverage. Think of it as relating to games in the same way that the shop in High Fidleity relates to music, except they’re not selling stuff, just hanging out.
