I remember when I was younger talking about the absurdity of a religious video game. I think an exact quote was “collect enough piety points and you can part the red sea.” I think I prefer my absurdist idea to what some company is apparently producing. Imagine grand theft auto’s violence, only against the infidels, like buddhists, jews, muslims, homos, advocates of the separation of church and state, and, yes, catholics. You can also step over to the other side and blow the ‘faithful’ away. The sad thing is, I can see this shit selling like hotcakes.
I rather like the purpose of the website, though. It’s a blog about reclaiming christianity from the crazies.
“The weapons of our warfare are not fleshly”
I just love that line.
And I’m no fan of thought control, but it’d be great if the government could keep track of who’s buying this game. They’re already in the business of keeping tabs on potential terrorists; why not focus on these self-selected would-be killers?
Ditto Super Columbine Massacre RPG!
That’s an odd link, I thought this was just the game based on the disturbingly best selling series “Left Behind”.
