“toon name”? I picked cheerfulchaotic for the forums (and my WoW login) and Bursine for my character name.
Sorry, I find the more I play MMOs, the more I use the gamer shorthand.
“toon” usually refers to the character you “roll”–generate. (nevermind that they’re not really cartoons, nor do you do any rolling to generate them–gamerspeak seems to carry over from earlier games, all the way back to Dungeons and Dragons. I spent the better part of my first few weeks in World of Warcraft looking up strange gamer words on Wikipedia.)
