A brief quote from my time with the butt doc & good news

“Look, if the reason you leave the room while I’m dropping my pants, bending over the table and draping myself is to protect my modesty, that’s touching, but unneccessary. I’d much rather just get this done with quickly”

No followup or do-over surgery required. Good to go. Yay.

  1. Okay so I’m curious. Are you fully recovered? Do you have full intended functionality? Do you have full desired functionality? Please be as graphic as you feel comfortable being.

    1. As fully recovered as I’m going to get. Things feel pretty much like they used to, though without the growths that I went in to get checked out in the first place. It was a trivial pain I’d taken for granted, but it’s gone now.

The downside is that the virus is still there. Since it’s not going anywhere, I could have other outbreaks in the future, and there’s still the (how likely?) possibility of contagion should I ever bottom again.

      1. Did the gastrologist tell you that, or were you also referred to a sexuologist? I ask because when my gastrologist gave me a physical, he said he couldn’t tell me whether I’d be able to engage in any sort of assplay again, but he knew that a sexualogist would have a better idea, and referred me to one.

        Here’s to no pain anyway.

        1. Well, I was a volunteer at a men’s std clinic, and they had pretty thorough training. HPV was one of the topics covered, and that more or less matches what I learned there: Warts are the product of a virus, the warts can be removed completely and the virus may(?) still remain dormant, but contagious, though less contagious than when expressed. The sticker is that the virus can go around the condom and result in warts at the base of someone’s penis. How likely any of this is nobody knows, to the nearest of my knowledge.

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of a sexuologist before.

  2. Glad to hear you don’t need do-over surgery or a follow-up. Yay for good health!

It is funny the times doctors suddenly get shy and decide you need some alone time to get changed, isn’t it? I suppose there are patients who appreciate that though.
