Subject: Gay Singer/Songwriter performs for National Coming Out Month
Greetings: The purpose of this email is to notify queer/allied student groups about Minneapolis-based Gay Singer/Songwriter Coleman Lindberg.

Below are listed a few shows that Coleman is playing in the next month. I hope that you can all share this information with your student organizations.

28-year-old Lindberg sings about Love, Life & Loss, AIDS, feminism, being gay, and lots lots more. Back from a 2-year haitus, Lindberg is slowly rebuilding his fan-base. Listen to Coleman at www.colemanlindberg.com

(the current recordings are from his old queer folk/punk band, Winter Machine, but very soon there will be sound bytes from his upcoming solo EP)

If you are interested in bringing Coleman to your school, please email bookings@colemanlindberg.com

and one from Beth:
Reading by two authors of GLBT books for youth: Alex Sanchez—Rainbow Road—and James Howe—Totally Joe

Thursday, October 20, 7 p.m.

Rainbow Road is the third book (Rainbow Boys and Rainbow High) in a trilogy about three gay high school age boys. School Library Journal has said the books “can open eyes and change lives.”

James Howe is the author of hundreds of books for young people, including the award-winning and bestselling Bunnicula books, the Pinky and Rex series, and the bestselling The Misfits. His newest book is a story of one young boy’s coming out—and coming of age—as told through his alphabiography—his life from A to Z.

This will be taking place at the Amazon Bookstore Cooperative in South Minneapolis. For further information check out the website at http://www.amazonbookstorecoop.com/
