My political leanings are no secret. And I can empathize with the perspectives in a couple of posts entitled “Letting the Republicans Implode”. But constructing a plausible and perhaps even probable political analysis of the imminent decline of a particular political alliance is a far cry from being able to say it’s miller time.

What is interesting is that while mysticknight thinks the right-to-life movement will give republicans a bad name and scare middle-america away, he/she also thinks that the gay rights movement will scare people away from liberalism.
I wonder if thats really true.
This is where age is a major factor, and consequently time.
The younger generation is increasingly homotolerant, on the whole. So, it’ll scare people in their 40’s & up, perhaps. But, the mainstream on this one is coursing down a different bed, upstream.
I keep predicting a future in which we’ll have pro-life democrats, and republicans giving at least lip service to gay rights.
