“Redeem my people. Their plight is an abomination.”
The second sentence popped in to my head, out of nowhere. I got the right book, but the wrong character when I tried to guess the source. Google showed me the way.
It’s said by the ghost of Bannor (a Haruchai) in The Wounded Land by Stephen R Donaldson.
ah, i got it! 🙂
See, my gut reaction was that it was the ghost of Saltheart Foamfollower (that was the name of the giant dude from the first trilogy right?) but I somehow managed to forget the whole genocide between trilogies. Duh….
I’m sure you can translate the bible such that moses said it first.
sounds like something that old guy from Poltergeist II would say.
Oh wow.
You know, I’ve never gotten around to the second trilogy. Finished the first, said, ok, that’s about as much painful Donaldson writing as I can take, and just got a synopsis of what happened in the second from a friend.
Those books still make me wince, thinking about them.
