When my free month of WoW runs out, I almost certainly won’t have the money to pay for it. Even if I went with a one month renewal. Shit. Well, there’s a cure for mmorpg addiction. Jesus I’m a financial moron.
Getting a word in edgewise

Is WoW any good? I could use an addiction.
It’s not bad. I’d probably recommend ffxi over WoW, but I like intricate game mechanics.
Like any MMO, it’s only as good as the people you find to play it with. As a pure gameplay experience, the whole genre really boils down to Progress Quest…
I’d say it’s more that any computer-based ‘rpg’ boils down to progress quest, and all the mmo’s are rpg’s. I can think of mog’s that aren’t progress questy, but none of them are rpg’s (halo 2, starcraft, warcraft 2, etc). And if final fantasy I through final fantasy X aren’t progress quest in their fundamental mechanics, then I don’t know what is. =)
Well, rest easy in the knowledge that your characters and progress will await you in limbo should you be in a position to renew in the future. They currently have no time limit on saving inactive characters on cancelled accounts.
wow…
i have no clue what the heck any of you guys are talking about.
yet i still found it all intriguing!
It’s a geek thing, I can give you the decoder ring, if you just ask… =)
giggle!
