June 7-9th (0 vacation days taken): Toronto, baby. Hi Chris. How far is the downtown hostel from desireable locations, and how are cabs and/or public transportation to/from that location? Sample their fine veg*n restaurants, enjoy multi-colored money, be as non-obnoxiously American touristy as possible.
June 14-16th: home & rest
June 20-23rd (1 vacation day): Boston & bikeathon (I will endeavor to arrange to see Tim, gothfru & harem, Ernie, shimmerjemmy, meerkat and what not. A large group dinner (pasta?) the night before biking might not be a bad idea)
June 28th-30th (.5 vacation days): Chicago pride. Fuck the parade, I’m just going to the concert and hanging with friends (hi inqueery probably brown elephant diving too. Will avoid spectacles to the extent possible.
July 5-7th: Recovering at home. Probably busy cleaning up.
July 11-17th (4 vacation days): Bay Area. Check out Berkeley’s ITS, hang out with friends, kick it with innsmouth, radi0actv, kidkero (damn, I’m getting tired of typing <lj user=”blah”> so I quit. You get the idea. Also, want to hit herbivore and millennium again. And both Teas.
July 19th-21st : stay home, chill.
July 26-28th (0-.5 vacation days): Minneapolis (very tentative), Visit Seth, if I can pin da bitch down. Maybe sample settsimaksimin‘s swim team. Possibly meet interesting parties in the way up north.
Over Labor Day Weekend (2 vacation days): bike to DC, hang with sister, and other dc residents. Also tentative.
Note that this process would completely bankrupt my vacation days by the beginning of semptember. But, taking long trips in the middle of classes is always a bad idea.
Hope you have fun 🙂
Booked for the Summer…
Good GOD yer organizational skills are amazing! Im still trying to figure out what to do tomorrow night when Im off again, and yer already scheduling thru Labor Day. You wouldnt wanna be my personal secretary, would you??? Shall we discuss salary and perks???
Organizational Skills?!?!? Bwahahahahaha!
You have clearly never seen my desk, my whiteboard, or my bedroom. Any of these alone would be sufficient counter example. Taken together, they are stunning contradictory proof. But if you’re up for moving to the bay area, and provide tuition benefits (plus flexible hours, so that I can take classes), I’d be up for it 😉
Re: Organizational Skills?!?!? Bwahahahahaha!
Maybe I should get a look at that bedroom first…
*SLY SMILE*
Re: Organizational Skills?!?!? Bwahahahahaha!
I’d rather enter his bedroom blindfolded …
Too bad he’s ruled out all the excellent universities in the DC area 😉
Re: Organizational Skills?!?!? Bwahahahahaha!
It’ll be a year before I get into grad school, and I plan on a more multitargeted (and earlier initiated) application process for it.
Who knows
Re: Organizational Skills?!?!? Bwahahahahaha!
I know I’m a weirdo about a lot of things … I’ve never in my life applied to more than one school at a time. I’ve picked the one school I wanted to attend, and that’s that.
They haven’t always been “top ranked” schools in the eyes of the crowd, but the schools I graduated from have zoomed in the rankings after I joined them … probably because they were underappreciated by the public at the time I applied.
I sincerely hope you are ignoring rankings and reputation … that you are looking for a program that matches you and your specific interests and needs. I hope that you are pursuing education that you will find intrinsically interesting.
I’m all about the parade. I like to have drag queens stuff dubious condoms in my pocket while naked men throw candy at me from the flatbed of a pickup truck.
