    1. Well, yeah, DC’s pretty rockin’ too, and there’s an excellent chance I’ll end up there, particularly given my field of study. But …

      • Both of chicago’s airports are served directly by the L.
      • The L runs 24 hours (on the important lines).
      • The CTA has a flat fare structure with free transfers
      • Chicago is a heck of a lot closer to the west coast.
      • In Chicago they don’t panic at the sight of snow. =)
      1. I guess it depends on your travel needs. For trips to NYC or Europe, Atlanta does quite well for me 🙂 Although I found Chicago’s “Beagle Brigade” to be the best airport innovation in the history of air travel.

      2. I agree with you on all points. The DC subway does run till 3AM which is sufficient on most occaisions. 🙂 I try to fly out of National as much as possible, since it is a mile from my house. Chicago is nice in that they provide rapid transit to O’Hare.
