Time allocation: class schedule + semester travel plans

My class schedule has been undergoing various permutations. This is a source of much stress. I had a FWD-MN meeting, and that is becoming less fun, because I’m feeling like I don’t fit in there. I’m feeling very out of place. Then again, it’s not often I feel in place, so you’d think I’d be getting used to it. Anyway, schedule.

To our it people

Dear compstaff,

Initially we had a dumb deal where I told you to put something up, and you copied the file for me, adding no value, and taking additional time. You were planning on setting up a different service but never got around to it, that’s fine. Getting tired of copying files, you gave me access to the web drive. This was actually good. I put up some presentations on the site, then announced the changes to our mailing list, all in the same day. Then, less than a week later, without warning, you put the new system in place, undoing the changes I made, preventing any updates from being made, and not giving me access to wherever you’re hiding the files on the new server. And you didn’t even fucking tell me you’d done it until after I sent two emails, and then showed up in person and asked you (over the course of two days).

In short: you suck; quit and let chimps run the system, they could hardly do worse.

Luv,

scu
