What does it tell you that I have a desk, a chair, several boxes, two bookshelves, two working computers, a fully equiped kitchen, and an air bed, card table and 4 folding chairs?

Last night I had the best Indian food I’ve had in Chicago, at Hema’s. And it’s very close to home. Sweet! (It’s a bit spicier than I usually go for, but that’s not a cause for complaint in my book. =)

I have my new roommate. He’s entertaining and seems reliable (if a little wacky). He makes substantially more than I do, and doesn’t seem to have any ridiculously expensive habits, so I doubt rent will be a problem. Yay.

This is awesome.

On Monday I love my coworkers. On Friday I can’t wait to escape.

I have a variety of reasons I don’t think I’d make a good lawyer. What do you think? a) Good lawyer b) bad lawyer c) I like cookies.

It’s so much fun, when someone claims to know something, and you can then find professional reports that directly contradict their claim. And then they defend themselves by “Well, maybe I read that.” Yeah, well, if you had read it before, you wouldn’t be saying “maybe”. Asshat.

But it did lead me to an interesting report on chicago’s public transportation from illinois’ auditor general. (source:

Well, I have a couple of options in front of me. One is an appealing neurotic seeming gay guy who works in statistics for an insurance company. The other is a couple, which would come with more furniture, pay more rent, watch alot of cable, and bring a cat into the house. The couple hasn’t said they’re a go, the guy has pretty much said he is. I did just repost my ad, but I only have one response to the reposting so far. Maybe I’ll show him the place, maybe not. But I think I’ll probably go with the guy. He seems like a better fit.

Going out alone is about as bad as staying in and playing WoW (at least then I can chat with friends). Surely there is a better option.
