Well, maybe not the latest, but whatever. The “browse back a year ago” and select a post. I read several. At first, I thought picking a particular month so arbitrarily would be kinda lame. I think differently now. <\/p>\n

This one<\/a> on fuel cells and the debate I didn’t have with Aaron about the appropriate methods of direction for governance. I haven’t made enough of those sorts of entries lately. How sad. <\/p>\n

Another one that I made, and kept private, was “a litany of friends” which is composed of lines of the form “I am grateful for <person x>, <something I really appreciate about that person> For instance, a briefer one was: <\/p>\n

I am grateful for , a friend of long standing. I’ve known Laura for quite some time. She is a woman of her convictions, and they are legion.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It’s incomplete. I started it because I was feeling seriously down. It didn’t take long before I was feeling pretty good. I intended to make it a project of mine that I would return to occasionally. And as a reminder when needed. Well, I haven’t done much of anything with it since I started it, but it’s still there waiting for when I need it.<\/p>\n

Then to take the way back machine to ’02 \ud83d\ude09 A month or so after I’d started my journal. I was dating Mark (though it had less than a week left to go at that point), I had just gotten back from san francisco. I was thinking about what I needed and what I had. I’d gotten out of whack over a certain redheaded buddhist swimmer (now in mn), who did not return my attraction. I acted a little bizarrely in the brooding sort of way, and got a very amusing reaction from Charles.<\/p>\n

This was part of my impetus for breaking up with Mark. I said it was about sex, but I think there was more to it. I would do things differently now, but I don’t feel bad about how it ended. Even though disapproved. =)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
