Getting to do stuff he doesn&#8217;t often get to do, exploring new restaurants, enjoying old ones.  Checking out comic book shops, and thrift stores.  Chatting with Philippe, <lj user=inqueery>, <lj user=doubleedge>, <lj user=kmstone> and <lj user=tyedie>.  We also saw Stardust.  <\/p>\n<p>I hope it&#8217;s not another 5 years before I see him, even if we aren&#8217;t weekend boyfriends next time.<\/p>\n<p>Stardust is a great movie.  I&#8217;d say it&#8217;s based on the book, but it&#8217;s not a retelling of the book.  It&#8217;s a love story, and an action movie.  A bit akin to the princess bride, but more grown up in a variety of ways.  It&#8217;s fast paced but they still get time for character development in.  I recommend watching the movie before reading the book, but I recommend doing both in whatever order occurs to one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was great having around.
