I saw Knocked Up<\/i> on Friday. It’s a great date movie for the slacker set, and for the overachiever set. If only the date had gone as well. It’s got my #1 most important feature in a movie: it showcases personal growth. Adorkable slacker pothead and overachieving hotty girl hook up while mutually wasted. Condom miscommunication ensues, pregnancy results. The rest is the social interactions around that whole story. It’s overall good stuff.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, I watched Paprika<\/i> with . It’s anime about technology that lets people share dreams. It does have a generous Nightmare on Elm Street<\/i> angle to it. The bad guy is telegraphed very early, but not explicitly revealed for awhile. The good guys win, but not everything is explained. Typical anime, on the good-ish side.
