I’m back in chicago, it’s time for the gay games, and sadly, I’m unwell. I have a throat and ear thing which makes me think swimming may be ill-advised. I’m currently covered under my minnesota based student health insurance, and my local health insurance doesn’t start until a week from monday, when my job starts, after the games are over. Tuesday’s event would preclude me heading out to the burbs to hang with and . Additionally, my master’s swimming membership has apparently lapsed, which I need to participate. <\/p>\n

But most importantly, when you get right down to it, swimming doesn’t do much for me anymore. I used to love it for its meditative qualities. Then I discovered yoga. Big gay things don’t really do much for me anymore either. These days, I prefer to celebrate my sexuality in more modestly sized events, like dates and orgies. <\/p>\n

I’m not sure if my mysterious mouth scratches\/lesions\/whatever responded well to my vitamin C megadose and first protein shake in forever, or if they were just going away anyway, but that’s much better now. My lymph node(s) under my jaw are feeling better, though still tender. I’m going to set up a little appointment with the local gblt health clinic, which is holding special hours for the gay games. <\/p>\n
